Weldon graduated from the College of Charleston with a degree in Anthropology, however his passion for woodworking and construction developed during childhood as his favorite pastime included building forts and treehouses with his brother. His construction career began with a custom home builder in Kiawah Island, South Carolina, where he was tasked with constructing boardwalks and learned the best practices for building in a coastal environment. From there, he moved to Virginia to work with a post and beam company prior to starting his own custom home building company.

Throughout his career, he has refined his talents to become a skilled craftsmen and has been commissioned to create custom works for clients that range from dining room tables and beds to statement architectural elements of the home such as banisters and ceiling beams. Weldon is experienced in working with a variety of mediums, however his preference is to incorporate extra character into each piece by using reclaimed and natural materials. He relocated with his family to Myrtle Beach, South Carolina to join CRG Companies as a construction manager as well as head up the specialty artisan department, which gives homeowners the option of incorporating custom designed pieces into their home without having to hire an independent craftsman.
