Commercial Reno Brings New Dining Spot To Myrtle Beach

This unique commercial project was designed to transform a former bank building into one of Myrtle Beach's hottest new restaurants, Cafe Gelato (>> Click here to view their delicious menu). To achieve the developer's vision of creating a fresh, neighborhood cafe, our design/build team developed a plan to renovate the existing structure while utilizing the entire lot combing form and function to create traffic stopping curb appeal.

The bulk of the exterior renovations comprised of installing new landscaping and modifying the existing three-lane drive drive thru and parking lot, creating a covered outdoor seating area and single drive lane. Additional cosmetic updates to the exterior included new signage, fresh paint, shutters, HVAC screening to the roof and addition of a trellis at each entrance. 

Creating An Atmosphere For Healthy Indulgence

The Cafe Gelato concept boasts 'good food fast' therefore the CRG Design team was charged with creating an environment that functioned like a fast paced restaurant yet felt inviting enough to become a new locals gathering spot.

Interior design selections harmoniously fused mid-century modern and rustic chic decor.

Inside, the existing space was completely renovated and fitted for restaurant use, including a commercial kitchen space equipped to prep, cook and serve hundreds of meals daily, storage space, a dining area, and public restrooms.

Decorative Studio Lilica eco-friendly acoustic panels dot the exposed ceiling adding a hip, industrial architectural detail that helps to absorb sound and perfectly compliments the lighting fixtures.
