CRG Companies Donates to Heroes For Children

CRG Companies Team Members Support Local Organizations!

One of our ongoing initiatives at CRG Companies is to partner with non-profit organizations along the Grand Strand by supporting their events, providing services, and making monetary donations whenever possible. We are proud to announce that we have begun an additional campaign in 2015 to provide quarterly donations to charities selected by our team members. Our first recipient, Heroes for Children, was selected by our Customer Relationship Manager, Rainbow Russell.

Heroes for Children is a community based 501(c)3 non-profit organization formed to support the Horry County Guardian ad Litem Program and to raise awareness of the issues associated with abused, neglected, and abandoned children. The Mission of the board is to act as a financial resource, to promote public awareness, and to support the Guardian ad Litem (GAL) volunteers. All activities are funded by public donations and foundation grants. Currently in Horry County there are 97 Guardians working with more than 250 children that have been removed from their parents. GAL volunteers get to know the child and everyone involved in the child’s life, including family, teachers, doctors, social workers, etc.  They gather information regarding the child and their needs, making recommendations to the court in order for the judge make an informed decision about a child’s future. GAL volunteers provide a stable presence in a child’s life, remaining on each case until the child finds a safe, permanent home.  

Rainbow has been a Guardian with the Horry County Guardian ad Litem Program since 2013 and will serve as President on the Board of Directors in 2016 for Heroes for Children. The goal of the CRG Companies quarterly team donation is to assist our team members who are already active in the community in making a greater impact with the groups they connect with.

In addition to our quarterly donations we were recently the top fundraiser for the 2015 Horry County Dancing with the Stars to benefit Early College High School, raising $23,000 for the event, and are donating a home for Habitat for Humanity that is currently under construction.
