20th Annual Pawleys Island Wine & Food Gala | October 3rd
Where: The Reserve Golf Club of Pawleys Island
When: Event begins at 7:00 p.m.
Admission: $100 per Person
The Pawleys Island Wine & Food Gala will feature over 100 wines, select hors d’oeuvres, and incredible desserts to sample and taste. The event, which benefits The Pawleys Island Festival of Music & Art, will include a silent auction with prizes like vacations, artwork, local cruises, and more. Tickets are $100 per person and include wine tasting, hors d’oeuvres, and dessert tasting.
4th Annual Myrtle Beach Jazz Festival | October 4th - 6th
Where: Carver Street, Myrtle Beach, SC
What started out as a free backyard jam, the Myrtle Beach Jazz Festival continues to bring the local community together through a celebration of music, fellowship, dancing, and local vendors, now for its fourth year. Past performers have included violinists, saxophonists, and bands.
Live Oak Art + Music Fest | October 5th
Where: Horry County Courthouse Lawn, Conway, SC
When: 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Admission: FREE but bring cash for market vendors and food trucks
Visit historic downtown Conway for live music, local produce, art and crafts for sale, and dozens of local artists, artisans, and songwriters during the Live Oak Art + Music Fest. The event will bring over 50 local artists and songwriters to the area for a jam-packed day of music, song, and celebration under the historic oak trees of downtown Conway. The event is free to attend and will include market vendors and food trucks.
Annual Surfside Beach Family Festival | October 5th
Where: Surfside Drive, Surfside Beach, SC
When: 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Surfside Beach, known as the “Family Beach,” has been hosting an annual festival intended to bring families closer together since 1984. Arts and crafts, food vendors, live music, and kids games at this year’s festival!
Harvest Home Weekend Festival | October 5th – 8th
Where: Brookgreen Gardens, Murrells Inlet, SC
When: 9:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. both days
Admission: FREE Attendance With Gardens Admission
Head to Brookgreen Gardens in Murrells Inlet for seasonally themed activities and fun. This weekend-long fall festival will include a huge pumpkin patch where kids can pick out their own pumpkin to paint and design. Activities include an over the top scarecrow building contest and hayrides throughout the weekend. Kid-friendly entertainment and great food will also be available. Festival attendance is free with gardens admission; some activities have a fee.
15th Annual Little River ShrimpFest | October 12th & 13th
Where: Historic Little River Waterfront
When: 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. October 12th; 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. October 13th
Admission: $5 per Person, Kids 12 & Under FREE
Grab a plate of delicious fresh local seafood at the 15th Annual Little River ShrimpFest. Held along the Historic Little River Waterfront, this fall celebration of everything shrimp will include fresh local seafood from local waterfront restaurants, along with festival food classics, two stages of live music, a children's area, face painting, balloon artists, and much more! The festival will also feature a wide variety of arts and crafts vendors, business expos, and community organizations.
40th Annual Loris Bog-Off Festival | October 19th
Where: Downtown Loris
When: Festival begins at 9:00 a.m.
Admission: FREE Admission
One of the Grand Strand’s biggest food festivals, the Loris Bog-Off Festival has over 200 vendors, live music, a children’s area, entertainment, and hearty helpings of chicken bog in celebration of the famous Southern dish. Fireworks and a free concert round out this event.
27th Annual St. John’s Greek Festival | October 17th - 20th
Where: St. John the Baptist Greek Orthodox Church
When: 11:00 a.m. Thursday - Saturday; Noon Sunday
One of Myrtle Beach’s most popular fall festivals, the St. John’s Greek Festival celebrates Greek culture and authentic meals with added family fun. The festival includes irresistible Mediterranean cuisine like gyros and pastries, live performances, music, and plenty of kid-friendly activities including inflatables and crafts. Craft and vendor tables will be on hand.
Hippie Fest | October 26th
Where: Myrtle Beach Speedway
When: Noon - 7:00 p.m.
Admission: $10 per Adult, Kids 10 & Under FREE
Everything will come up tie-dye during Hippie Fest! This family-friendly festival celebrates everything peace and love with delicious food, kid’s activities, bohemian shopping, performers, and much more.
