Why buy property in Murrells Inlet, South Carolina?
Many people have asked me this question over the past few years. There are so many reasons why I live and love Murrells Inlet and believe many other people can enjoy it as a permanent residence, or a place to own a second home.
Who does not love the water?

Wherever you live in Murrells Inlet you are very close to the water. When many people think of Murrells Inlet; they think of seafood or the tidal creek that allows many fishermen and boaters the ability to enjoy a day in the inlet or quick access to the Atlantic Ocean. From the public boat landing on the tidal creek, it is only a 10 minute boat ride and you are in the Atlantic. Some people just enjoy floating in the inlet, or catching flounder, speckled trout, or whatever is biting that day. Others enjoy just relaxing at the point on a weekend away from work. If saltwater is not what you are looking for, the public boat landing at Wacca Wachee Marina is only a couple minutes away allowing easy access to Waccamaw River and Intracoastal Waterway. What about the beaches? Garden City Beach and Huntington Beach state park are only a couple miles away. Personally when I decide to spend a day at the beach, I usually go to Huntington Beach state park just 2 miles south of Murrells Inlet. A park pass for a year is only $50 for non residents and $35 for residents of South Carolina; usually the beaches are not as crowded as Garden City and Surfside Beach.
